Ten years following the money
I studied finance at McGill University in Montreal, and my first years in the field were spent where payments go wrong: as a fraud analyst at a fintech moving money across borders, reading transactions for the patterns that do not add up.
I then worked as an anti-money-laundering compliance consultant for payment processors in Canada, helping them check customers, monitor transfers and meet the rules on KYC.
Today I am an Expert Contributor at Casino.ca, covering payment methods and fintech for online casinos. I test how deposits and withdrawals really work, how long they take, what they cost and what verification a player should expect.

After hours
Running and Peruvian cooking
Most mornings start with a run through Montreal, in whatever season the city throws at me.
At home I cook Peruvian food: ají amarillo, ceviche on Sundays and lomo saltado when there is time. Spanish is my heritage language, and the kitchen is where I use it most.
